Finish Carpentry & Accent Walls

Finish Carpentry & Accent Walls

Tony Squillini has built finish carpentry & accent walls across the Salem and southern New Hampshire corridor since 2018, owner-led from the first walkthrough to the last nail. The same person who answers the phone is the one on the saw, and every free consultation ends with a clear written estimate, line by line.

It is nice to see something beautiful come to life. Coffered ceilings, board and batten, shiplap, custom millwork. The Pinterest photo you saved last Tuesday at 11pm, built and trimmed in three to six days.

Built in 3 to 6 days

What you get

The work, in plain terms.

A coffered ceiling grid mid-install with tight mitered corners where painted beams meet, a red laser line crossing the white beams.

Tight miters, level grids

Coffered ceiling beams laid out with a chalk line and a laser. Picture frame molding spaced equal across every panel. We measure twice and check with a level before we nail.

A stack of pre-primed white MDF trim boards and raw poplar lengths resting on metal sawhorses with a pencil and speed square on top.

Pre-primed MDF or solid stock

MDF for paint-grade ceilings and accent walls. Solid poplar or pine for stained work. Pre-primed before we cut so the joints fill cleaner and the paint sits flat.

An angled sash brush cutting a crisp white paint line where board-and-batten trim meets a wall, with a tooled caulk line and wet paint sheen.

Painted on site, two coats

Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore in the color you pick. Sanded between coats. Caulk lines tooled smooth. The trim disappears into the wall the way it should.

Canvas drop cloths running from a doorway across hardwood to a work zone, a red shop vac and neatly stacked trim offcuts at the end of the day.

Daily cleanup, no sawdust trail

Drop cloths from the front door to the work zone. Shop vac at the end of every day. Same standard whether you are home or at the office.

A carpenter's hands holding a clipboard with a blank ruled grid form and a yellow tape measure, a finished millwork accent wall blurred behind.

Line-item spec sheet, in writing

Every free consultation ends with a written estimate built as a line-item spec sheet. Stock, layout, and grid size shape the number, and you see every line before we start. The number you approve is the number you pay.

Two stacked crown molding profile samples held against an existing painted colonial door casing to match the ogee shadow lines.

Crown and casing that match the house

Older New Hampshire homes have their own trim profiles. We bring a sample of your existing crown, base, or door casing to the supplier and match it. New millwork ties into the old so the room reads like it was always this way.

Who it's for

Three homeowners we hear from every week.

The Pinterest planner

You have saved the same coffered ceiling photo eleven times. You want it built, not pitched an oversized design package.

The 1980s colonial owner

Builder-grade walls and flat ceilings. One accent wall or one coffered dining room rewrites how the whole house feels.

The DIYer who hit the ceiling

You started the board and batten. The miters did not work. We finish what you started, and you pay for the work we do, not the work you already did.

How it works

From your text to the final walkthrough.

  1. Step 01

    Call Tony

Call (978) 216-6455 and describe the room, or bring the Pinterest photo to the walkthrough. Tony answers his own phone and talks it through with you himself.

  2. Step 02

    On-site walkthrough

Tony measures the room, checks the wall studs, and talks through stock options. 30 minutes on site, straight talk on what the wall needs.

  3. Step 03

    Written line-item quote

Line-item spec sheet, fixed price, start date, finish date. Sent by email. You take the time you need to decide.

  4. Step 04

    Build and trim

Three to six working days for most projects. Start date locked. Daily cleanup. Tony on site, not a sub.

  5. Step 05

    Walkthrough and final coat

We walk the room together. Any caulk line you want tighter, we tighten. Final coat goes on after, not before.
