We have built kitchens, baths, decks, and finish carpentry across southern New Hampshire since 2018. In that time we have learned that the same kind of project can land in very different places depending on a handful of real factors. Here they are, honestly, so you know what you are looking at before we ever meet.
We are one contractor with one truck and one phone, finishing one project at a time, with the same hands and the same standard. When you are ready for a real number, Tony walks the job in person and you get a written estimate with line items.
Cabinets, counters, tile, flooring, fixtures, and trim stock all carry a wide range on their own. Paint-grade MDF and stock cabinets sit at one end. Custom cabinetry, quartz, natural stone, and solid stained hardwood sit at the other. This is usually the single biggest lever on your number.
Keeping the existing footprint is the most affordable path. The moment you move a wall, relocate a sink, or change where the appliances live, the labor climbs and other trades come into the job. We always price the keep-it-where-it-is option next to the move-it option so you can choose.
Old wiring that does not meet code, rotted subfloor, undersized plumbing, or past work done wrong adds to the scope. We cannot always see it until we open things up. When we find it, we photograph it, show you, and price the fix before we touch it. Every added dollar is one you signed off on first.
Structural work, electrical, plumbing, and most additions need a permit and an inspection in Massachusetts. Decorative finish carpentry usually does not. We confirm what your specific job needs on the walkthrough and fold the permit cost into the written estimate you approve.
The same room can be built to a clean, durable standard or to a showpiece standard. Number of paint coats, tile detail, niche count, trim profile, hardware grade. None of it is right or wrong. It is your house. We walk you through where the finish level changes the number so you spend where it matters to you.
Square footage, linear feet of cabinet run, deck footprint, wall length, and how much of the house the work touches all factor in. A single feature wall is one number. A whole coffered grid across a great room is another. We measure on site so the estimate reflects your actual space, not a per square foot guess.
How an Anjo estimate works
Send the photo, the punch list, or the rough idea. Tony answers his own phone. The consultation is free and yours to walk away from. You are talking to the owner, not a call center.

You get a written estimate with line items. Cabinets, counters, plumbing, electrical, demo, paint, finish carpentry, each priced separately. You see exactly where the dollars go and you can compare it apples to apples.
Once you approve the estimate, that is the price. If we open a wall and find something that has to change, we photograph it, show you, and you approve the change before any of it gets billed. The number you approve is the number you pay.
